The Vision Behind the Work
ScenoFolio captures a lifelong journey in scenography, from illuminating the Champs-Élysées to redefining immersive experiences at Burning Man. This portfolio is a testament to creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for storytelling through design.
Your passion for scenography seems to have started very early. How did it all begin?
It's a story that dates back to when I was ten years old. Scenography, lighting, and this entire universe captivated me from a very young age. At 21, I created my audiovisual production company. It was obvious, almost a necessity. This passion has never left me; it has only intensified over time, especially after a major turning point in my life at 30.
Your career has taken you all over the world...
From Pau to Paris, from Europe to Africa, from the overseas territories to the Nevada desert for Burning Man 2023... Every project has been a new adventure. I've been fortunate to work on remarkable events such as the international finale of the Elite Top Models, the Téléthon broadcasts, Télématin Été, and the Nuits des Étoiles for France Télévisions.
The illumination of the Champs-Élysées for the year 2000 remains a significant moment, as do collaborations on international summits for the French Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
How would you describe your approach to work?
I design both ephemeral and permanent scenographies, using Vectorworks for over 20 years to create 3D renderings of my designs. I often say that it's my third hand.
But beyond the technical aspect, I deeply believe that from imagination to reality, there's only a single line. I have a particular fondness for words and their associated dreams. Scenography is a meeting that must make sense, written and described with subtlety, finesse, and elegance.
